A twenty-five-year veteran in commercial real estate, Corey Spound is a co-founder and Principal of Tamarack Real Estate Services. His focus is both on leasing and sales of commercial and industrial assets.  Corey conducts real estate acquisitions and dispositions on behalf of third parties and represents landlords and tenants, with transaction consideration aggregating into the hundreds of millions of dollars over his tenure.  His experience is strong on both the institutional corporate services and the local-market, private-client profiles of the real estate business.  Corey has been honored with The Staubach Company’s Top Producer designation, Jones Lang LaSalle’s Top Achiever designation and has been named a Power Broker® by CoStar for several years.

In 1997 Corey co-founded Tamarack Associates, LLC with partner David Kaufman to acquire their first real estate investment.  Since then, Tamarack Associates, LLC and its affiliates have acquired and retained or sold over $100 million of assets ranging from industrial, office, retail and multi-family located in California, Washington, Nevada and Texas.  Today, their brokerage services collaboration, Tamarack RES, Inc., handles all manner of activity including investment, brokerage and asset management for retail, industrial, office and multi-family asset classes, with commercial service lines focused on the key processes for both landlord and tenant representation.

A graduate of Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, Corey is a Past President of the AIR Commercial Real Estate Association (now AIR CRE) and continues to serve on its Board of Directors.  Corey is also a Young Leadership Development Institute (YLDI) Charter Member for the Real Estate & Construction Division (REC) of the Jewish Federation, is a Cabinet Member of REC and is a past Co-Chair of the Real Estate Track for the Community Leadership Institute for the Federation (CLI).  Corey has represented numerous non-profit organizations including the American Red Cross, AIREA, Project Angel Food, Walden House and the Independent School Alliance for Minority Affairs, the latter of which he has served on the Advisory Committee.  Corey lives in Brentwood (Los Angeles), California with his wife, Cheryl, and their two children, Sam (14) and Stella (11).
